American Red Cross Southwest Florida Chapter

Provides the information and skills training to enable individuals to provide quality care for residents in long-term care facilities and other health care settings.

Farm Worker Career Development Program

Manatee County Schools - Provides free of charge education, training, and career services to eligible migrant and seasonal farmworkers. It also provides emergency stabilization services such as food, rent, etc., to those who choose to stay in farm work.

Literacy Council of Manatee

Free adult tutoring. Programs offered include Adult Basic English, English as a second language, workplace literacy, and citizenship classes.

Literacy Council of Sarasota

One-on-one English tutoring, adult primary education, and GED classes. Classes include reading, writing, comprehension skills, financial, and health.

Literacy Volunteers of South Sarasota

Serving Englewood, Laurel, Nokomis, North Port, Osprey, and Venice. Provides free one-on-one tutoring and small classes for English as a second language and basic literacy to adult learners.

Manasota Score

Dedicated to providing counseling to people starting up new businesses or providing counseling to existing businesses.

Manatee Technical College

Programs include GED preparation and GED testing. Other classes include English as a second language, reading, writing, math, science, social studies, workplace skills, family literacy and basic computer skills, English classes, and various online classes. Serving those 18 years of age or older.
