A Bond of Love Adoption Agency

Non-profit, licensed child-placing agency offering counseling, education, and one-on-one support throughout pregnancy and postnatal period. In addition to assisting birth parents in their selection of an adoptive couple, they can also help with housing,

transportation and medical care.

Angel’s Attic

Provides clothing, toys, household items, and furniture to families in need. A referral from a local church or non-profit is required. Call for hours.

Baby Basics of Sarasota County

Provides diapers and hygienic essentials to qualifying families who are not receiving any governmental assistance. Families must reside in Sarasota County, and babies must be under 3 years old, and one parent must be working.

Catholic Charities Adoption Services

Provides counseling and resources to birth parents considering adoption planning.

Community Pregnancy Clinic- Sarasota

Faith-based Christian program provides pregnancy testing, limited ultrasound exams, STI testing, diapers, and baby clothing. They also offer counseling, prenatal classes, material support, referrals, and post-abortion support.

Family Creations Adoptions

A non-profit private Adoption Agency licensed by the State as a child-placing agency includes birth mother counseling, case management, wrap-around services, and adoption support groups.

First Step of Sarasota

Mothers & Infants Program

A long-term residential treatment program for pregnant, substance-abusing women. Offers parenting classes, GED/vocational support, workforce readiness sessions, access to childcare, and transitional housing.


Maternal Outpatient Mental Wellness Program- MOM’s

Addresses pregnant women's psychological well-being, nursing mothers, and women with postpartum depression or anxiety symptoms safely and supportively. Women can be referred for services by medical providers, obstetricians, Healthy Start Coalition, Department of Health, or any other community provider.

Florida Center for Early Childhood


Provides a “Healthy Families Program for pregnant women and their families. The voluntary program aims to prevent child abuse and neglect and promote a healthy environment for the child. The program begins during pregnancy or within 3 months of birth and can last up to 5 years. It includes free home visitation services to promote positive parent/child relationships and optimize their health and development. Most participants are low-income, single parents experiencing stressful life situations that indicate they can benefit from the voluntary home visitation services. The center also provides fetal alcohol diagnostic and intervention clinics and parent education classes.

Florida Department of Health- Kid Care

Child health insurance program for children birth to age 18 years of age who are uninsured. Coverage includes doctor visits, surgeries, checkups, immunizations, vision and hearing, prescriptions, dental care, mental health, hospital stays, and emergencies. Cost is based on income and family size. You can apply online or by mail. Applications are available at all Sarasota County Health Departments, or call to have an application mailed to your home.

Florida Department of Revenue/Child Support Enforcement

Helps with establishing paternity, getting and enforcing support orders, collecting, and sending support payments, obtaining health care coverage, and genetic testing. An online application is available on the website. Services are free.

Healthy Start Coalition

Healthy Start is dedicated to enhancing maternal and infant health care for pregnant women and infants. Every pregnant woman and every newborn, regardless of income, may be eligible. All services are free and voluntary.

Jewish Family & Children’s Services of the Suncoast

Healthy Families Program-No fees

Provides free relationship and parenting classes that teach relationship enhancement, positive parenting techniques, and money management.


Healthy Fathers Program- No fees

The program teaches fathers age 15 years and older about the importance of being a father, a better parent, a better communicator, and how to have a  healthy relationship.

Mom’s Place

One-stop maternity education for mother, child, and family. Offers classes, programs, and services for families and their new babies.

Mothers Helping Mothers

Provides adult and children clothing, furniture, bedding, car seats, strollers, toys, maternity clothing, etc., at no cost to needy families. Call for hours of operation.

My Choice Pregnancy Center

Assists those experiencing an unplanned pregnancy to make healthy, life-affirming choices. Services include ultrasounds, counseling, parenting classes, adoption counseling, Daddy Boot Camp, baby basics, employment counseling, and medical, legal, and social referrals.

North River Care Pregnancy Center

This life-affirming center offers hope and encouragement to pregnant women and offers realistic alternatives to abortion. Their mission is to show compassion, give assistance, and offer education. Services include post-abortion counseling, support throughout your pregnancy, adoption support, community referrals, and help applying for Medicaid, food stamps, etc.

Our Mother’s House

Sponsored by Catholic Diocese of Venice

Provides shelter for mothers and infants in a drug and alcohol-free residential program located in Venice. The program assists young mothers age 18 and older who have one or two children under three years old. Helps with education, life skills classes, job pursuits, childcare, and parenting skills to achieve self-sufficiency. Free childcare is provided while mothers are in school or working. Mothers may stay at Our Mother’s House for up to 2 years.

Postpartum Society of Florida

The mission is to ease the transition from pregnancy to parenthood with postpartum preparation classes and new mother peer support programs.

Pregnancy Care Center

Assists women with maternity clothes, baby basics, baby care, furniture, car seats, formula, diapers, etc. Serving pregnant women in Osprey, Nokomis, Venice, and North Port.

Pregnancy Solutions


Supports women with free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, education, counseling, case management,

and physical needs such as maternity clothes, diapers, and other baby items. In addition, there is a male mentor program for new fathers. Post-abortion counseling is also available.

Project Rachel- Post Abortion Healing Ministry

Trained professional counselors provide free one-on-one psychological and spiritual care to those suffering following an abortion.

Sarasota Medical Pregnancy Center

Provides a variety of services and programs to educate and empower women to make healthy, life-affirming choices relating to their childbearing consistent with the sanctity of human life. Services include free pregnancy tests, limited ultrasound services, referrals for insurance, confidential peer counseling, education about pregnancy, adoption support and referrals, free maternity clothing, diapers, formula, baby food, etc. The center also provides post-abortion counseling, childbirth classes, prenatal and parenting education, and housing and future medical assistance referrals. All services are free and confidential.

Second Chance Last Opportunity

Provides single and teenage single mothers self-sufficiency programs. Provides support groups and assists with baby items such as diapers, clothing, bottles, etc.

Solve - Maternity Homes

Operates maternity residential housing, case management, education, counseling, healthcare services, childbirth and parenting classes, adoption assistance, and spiritual support. They also provide free baby clothes, diapers, and furniture to needy clients with children. Also, their Evolve Program provides extended housing & support for mother and child for an additional 1-2 years. All services are free.

Step Up Suncoast

Healthy Families Manatee

Education and support for new parents through a voluntary home visiting program. Provides prenatal education for a healthy pregnancy and then through the early years of the child’s development. They also help with connecting the new mom with community resources. Offered in Spanish and English.

Teenage Parenting Program (TAPP)

 This program aims to facilitate high school completion for expectant mothers, fathers, or teenage parents. Offers parenting and prenatal care instruction, counseling, Mommy and Me Program, and childcare on campus.

Venice Area Pregnancy Care Center

Assists families with children in Venice and South Sarasota County with baby food, formula, diapers, clothing, strollers, car seats, cribs, etc. Call for hours of operation.

Whole Child Manatee


Web-based service helps Manatee county families access the services that they need. You complete your profile online, and you will be connected to the respective providers.

Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)

Provides a free nutrition program to pregnant and post-partum women with infants and children birth to age 5. The program provides food vouchers, nutrition, education counseling, breastfeeding support, referrals for health care, immunizations, and community services.
