Offers case management for veterans and their families. Case managers may assist with housing search, employment assistance, basic needs, and financial assistance. Serving the city of North Port.

Offers case management and vocational services that address barriers to employment, disabilities, mental health issues, housing, homelessness, education, and training. It also helps veterans obtain the benefits to which they are entitled.
Assists veterans who have struggled with returning to civilian life after their service via transitional housing set in a therapeutic community, recovery and life enrichment classes, case management, and homebound services. In partnership with the VA, these services are offered to honorably discharged Veterans free of charge via the GPD program.

Operation Military Assistance Program (OMAP) helps homeless and potentially homeless Veterans in Sarasota and Manatee counties obtain housing benefits, financial assistance, case management, and support groups. Must meet the income requirements. No fees.

Assists low-income veteran families in or transitioning to permanent housing by providing a wide range of supportive services, including financial assistance, obtaining VA benefits, employment services, health care, and financial planning services. To be eligible, you need to be a veteran who is homeless or at risk of being homeless.

In addition, two local VA Outpatient Clinics offer primary care, emphasizing disease prevention and management of chronic illnesses.
Veterans Administrative Aid and Attendance
This program benefits veterans and surviving spouses who require another person's regular attendance to assist in bathing, dressing, meal preparation, medication monitoring, or other activities of daily living. This benefit is available to individuals in assisted living communities, personal care homes, and skilled nursing facilities. To be eligible, you need to be a war veteran with 90 days of active duty with at least one day during active wartime. In addition, the individual must qualify both medically and financially.
