Child health insurance program for children birth to age 18 years of age who are uninsured. Coverage includes doctor visits, surgeries, check-ups, immunizations, vision and hearing, prescriptions, dental care, mental health, hospital stays, and emergencies. You can apply online or by mail. Applications are available at all Sarasota County Health Departments, or call to have an application mailed to your home.

Good Samaritan Pharmacy & Health Services

Offers a free clinic, by appointment only, operated by volunteer medical personnel, open one day a week, Wednesday 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. The dispensing pharmacy is also open during these clinic hours, so patients can usually obtain their medications.

Program provides primary health care services and a pharmacy to the uninsured or low-income individuals. They also offer free over-the-counter products such as cough and cold medication, pediatric medicines, diabetes testing supplies, bandages, diapers, etc. To qualify, you must have no other prescription coverage or be receiving Medicaid benefits. In addition, you need to provide a photo ID, tax return, and verify monthly income. Your application must be submitted in advance and be approved before services can be provided. An application can be downloaded from their website or completed in person at their offices. Call for hours of operation.
